Pushback Network
is a national collaboration of indigenous, grassroots organizations and networks committed to building bottom-up, state-based alliances that change both the composition and levels of participation of the electorate.

We emphasize strategies to empower underrepresented constituencies: people of color, poor and working class communities, and young people.

Pushback Network envisions an authentic participatory democracy through which true social justice can be achieved. We seek a democracy that creates opportunities for ordinary people to make real contributions to the political decisions that affect their lives.

PBN’s California Alliance is deep into preparations for its first ever state-wide convening, Can’t Stop…Won’t Stop: Building Progressive Power at the Ballot Box and Beyond, scheduled to take place this weekend, March 15th & 16th in Riverside, California. (Download the flyer.)

Can’t Stop…Won’t Stop: Building Progressive Power at the Ballot Box and Beyond is shaping up to be a great event! Progressive organizing, communications, voter engagement and other progressive political power building organizations from across the state are scheduled to attend with staff, grassroots leaders, and local allies that can help build regional networks. California Alliance is providing lodging and food, and will provide stipends to pre-registered organizations for travel costs.

The deadline for completed Registration Forms was Wednesday, Feb. 27. We are expecting a solid turnout for this event, and we will have fewer resources for travel stipends to allocate after this deadline.
